PathVu's app database is transforming the way cities see their sidewalks, perform maintenance, and quality of life for everyone. The mobile app helps manage snow/ice removal, prevents against trip/fall injuries and lawsuits, helped city leaders develop a transition plan for improvements, helped with traffic signage that needed repairs, and many more examples. PathVu's mobile app has already helped municipalities in so many ways. Result: New Mobile App Development Results In Safer Walkways Chetu ESRI developers integrated the same functionality into the Android platform as they did in iOS. Chetu also worked on the Android Mobile App version to bring it up to speed in terms of readiness to launch and fixed current bugs. Chetu's ESRI ArcGIS developers followed the same structure pathVu had started and developed on the iOS 9.0 SDK using XCODE 9.4 IDE in the Mac Operating System 10.12.6.

The requirements were to create, enhance and fix certain aspects of the current application and to also make sure the code was up to standards and followed best practices. pathVu addressed this with an index grading scale that allows users to know where it's safe to cross and informs cities of where they are failing to meet quality standards for their citizens. One of the most common issues pedestrians with disabilities face is the lack of safe, wheelchair-accessible pathways. PathVu's goal was to use the mobile app to support pedestrians of all disabilities with accessibility support.

Another objective was to improve precision of Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation and enhance mapping features that allow users to use the app as their main source for everyday navigation.
